Books for 3 to 5-6 years old

Here you will be able to see some ideas of literacy sesons with differents books. Some of them are for hight level of english as it can be a bilingual school, but also simple one for lower levels. Bur what I recommend you is to read them and see if you think there will be sutable for your kids, or maybe you only can get some ideas. Because it is importan to works with their necessities and levels.

But all of them are for between 3 and 6 years old.

With it you can work things like the animals, or the friendship, specially i like the last thing (friendship) and I think it for children of 3 years.

Books for 8 to 10/12 years old

For this age i have notice that it can be a big difference between a bilingual school and a normal one, or the level of the children. So first I’m going to give you some ideas but notice that some of them are for higher levels than others.

So this is thought for children between 8 to 12 years that more or less is primary.

The aim thing of what I’m going to show you is that almost or a very book idea of work has a ICT to work with so that is more attractive for children.

So I had the idea to start in the subject of literacy a project named:

‘’AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 BOOKS’’

This is that during the year we are going to read different books, the interesting thing is that we are not only going to read and work the book we are going to investigate where is the book from because we are going to do a map from the different places our books are.

Moreover it will be nice that not only they search for information if not that they can post for example using glogster their photos in diferent places, they can be real ones that they have done in their holidays or they can do a photocall.

For that we are going to use google maps and at the end of the year we will have something like this:

So the books that I’m going to post are not with this idea but I think that is such a nice way to introduce children in the wonderful world of books and lecture.

So as we need to know the names of some countries, cities… we will start with the book…
